Rogers Park at a glance
Rogers Park sits at the top of the city, about nine miles north of the Loop. Its edges are easy to name: Evanston along Juneway Terrace and Howard Street to the north, Ridge Boulevard to the west, Devon Avenue to the south, and Lake Michigan on the east. Loyola University Chicago's main campus holds the southeast corner along the lake, and the Red Line runs through with four stops (Howard, Jarvis, Morse and Loyola). The Yellow and Purple Lines meet it at Howard.
It's also one of the most mixed neighbourhoods in Chicago, with a Hispanic community that has grown along Clark Street and the Glenwood Sunday Market in summer. For a junk car pickup, though, what matters is the housing: lots of apartment buildings east of Clark, more houses and two-flats to the west.
Pickup notes for Rogers Park
Most Rogers Park junk cars we hear about are in one of three places. Each needs one extra detail on the call.
- On the street. Tell us the block and the nearest cross street to Sheridan or Clark. If your block is a permit zone, that's fine; the truck only needs a few minutes curbside.
- In a building lot or garage. Tell us which entrance, whether someone has to open a gate, and whether the car can roll out or has to be pulled.
- Behind a house, off the alley. Say whether the alley is clear and the garage door opens all the way.
Near the lake, a daytime pickup is easier than rush hour on Sheridan. We'll suggest a time on the call.
What we buy in Rogers Park
Junk, wrecked and scrap cars, running or not. That covers the old sedan that failed its last repair, the car that hasn't moved since you stopped needing it, and plenty in between. If it's an older model, our page on how we sell an old car in Chicago explains what age changes in the number.
Is an instant offer something you can trust?
Fair question for anyone selling a car online. An offer is a real number based on what you told us, and it becomes firm when the driver sees the car matches. Our guide on whether instant cash offers are legit lists the questions to ask any buyer before you accept.
